What this makes

A proper tax invoice from your restaurant on A4, with your name and GSTIN, the customer's details, itemised food and beverage lines, the tax summary and the total in words. Add your logo and choose between three designs.

Use it for a company invoice, a banquet order or a monthly account. Download PDF creates a file through our server. If that fails, the browser print view lets you save a PDF.

Each line takes a quantity, a rate, a per-line discount and its own SAC code, and the codes you enter are grouped into the tax summary block a GST invoice is expected to carry.

The tax split is worked out for you

Restaurant service is supplied where the restaurant stands, so the place of supply is almost always your own state. That means CGST and SGST on the bill rather than IGST, and the tool derives it from your GSTIN instead of asking you to choose.

You set the GST rate on each line yourself. Rates for restaurant service depend on how the establishment is classified, and they change; a tool that quietly prefills last year's percentage is worse than one that asks. Confirm yours with your accountant.

Not GST registered? Use our plain invoice generator and turn the tax column off. This page assumes a GSTIN, because a GST bill without one is not a GST bill.

Your draft and PDF download

Your draft stays in this browser while you edit. Pressing Download PDF sends the document and logo to our server to create a PDF. The document is not saved on the server. Browser printing keeps the document on your device.

Your draft is saved locally so you can come back to it between services, and the Clear button removes it.

Is this restaurant invoice generator really free?

Yes. No account, no signup, no document limit and no watermark. A small footer line says where the document was made, and a checkbox under Document style turns it off.

How do I download the bill as a PDF?

Press Download PDF to create and save the invoice. If the server download fails, the browser print view opens instead. Choose Save as PDF there.

Should a restaurant bill show CGST and SGST, or IGST?

Almost always CGST and SGST. Restaurant service is supplied where the restaurant is, so the supplier's state and the place of supply match. The tool works this out from your GSTIN so you do not have to choose.

Which SAC code and GST rate should I use?

Common service codes are offered as suggestions with their official descriptions, and no rates attached. The rate is yours to enter: it depends on how your establishment is classified and it changes, so confirm it with your accountant. This is a formatting tool, not tax advice.

Do you store the bill or my customer's details?

Your draft is saved in this browser so you can return to it. Clear removes that local copy. Download PDF sends the document to our server to create the file, without saving it there. Contact details you choose to submit in a separate enquiry form are handled separately.

Can the bill come straight from the order instead?

At any volume it should. Typing a bill again from the order slip is double work and where mistakes come from. Our restaurant POS raises the bill from the order itself; this page is for the one-off documents around it.
